Baba Desi, born Desmond Bergen, 94 goes by many names, The Belgrave Wizard, Urban Dreamer, and The Pirate. The name Baba Desi translates to 'international father.' Baba Desi is a healer, free spirit and lifelong protester of over 40 years. Despite his age Desi still attends protests, staying true to supporting the causes that matter to him, standing up for the deprived and “fighting for humanity.” Desi is a staple of his community, motivated to give power back to the people and yearning with a defiant spirit for justice. Pictured tattooed on his hand is his proposed version of the Australian flag, replacing the Union Jack with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait flags.
