Joel Leske, Dandelion (PLACES 2023)

I find macro photography amazing. I think the thing I love most is that it is like 'old school' photography, before phones had cameras. I miss the days where you did not know instantly if you had a good shot. Where images took time. Time to process. Time to develop. Time to reveal their beauty. With macro photography, I can experience this one again, and I think that is pretty special. This image is of a dandelion flower before the wind takes it away. Comprised of over 350 single images, I love the lines and contrasts, something that is further enhanced with a mono image. It is the sort of image that you can find yourself staring at, looking closer and seeing more and more as you appreciate its simple beauty.
