Natalie Arber, Drenched (PEOPLE 2023)

This portrait, “Drenched” is a paradox of sharpness and softness. Deep contrast reveals a glittery shimmer and enhances the rich detail in the water drenching the subject. However the shallow depth of field field and blur produced from the underwater housing adds a filmy softness which neutralises the harshness of the high dynamic range.
