Elaine Shaw, Ghost ship (PLACES 2024)
Kangaroo Island has some wild storms that have brought many a ship to their demise. On this particular day I was determined to capture the rough waves at Bate's Landing where boats in-the-day unloaded their cargo. Next moment to my astonishment, an old sailing ship heaved and swayed around the heads, it was like a ghost ship had presented itself to fulfil the perfect storm photo. The wind turbines at Cape Jervis are in the background, they give reference to time and place, but the power of the wind will always be a constant.
