Max Rittner, Gosse Bluff (PLACES 2023)

It was early morning, driving home along Namatjira Drive to Alice Springs and scattered throughout the landscape were Xanthorrhoea, otherwise known as grass-trees; and off in the distance Gosses Bluff or Tnorala, as known by the Western Arrernte people. Needing a break, as a photographer would say providing the opportunity to capture an image; I pulled over the vehicle and walked in, off the road and took half a dozen images of the Central Australian landscape.
