Yi Cao, Melancholy (ANIMALS 2024)

During a trip to Southpoint Lookout of Philip Island last summer, I was truly impressed by the posture of this seagull. There might not be any specific motive for its beak to reach its feather, I guess, however, the look in the eye and head-up-to-back posture at that very moment, did convince me of its "Melancholic Mood".
