Natalie Arber, My Endo-Chronology (PEOPLE 2023)

My Endo-chronology is a self portrait documenting the impact seeing my scar properly for the first time following a thyroidectomy. It was a surgery which followed a traumatic few months where I endured a health scare and became aware I had been living unknowingly with thyroid disease for some decades. I felt compelled to document the emotional paradox of shock and relief in the aftermath.
