Dave O'Leary, Old Car - New World (PLACES 2023)

The old Mini is buried in a very overgrown hedge beside the footpath in a local street. The photo was taken just after we had experienced lockdown restrictions imposed to reduce the spread of Covid 19. The abandoned face mask invited a comparison of the relatively simple world when the car was new and the more complicated and challenging existence we had experienced during the Covid epidemic.
