Lucy Yunxi Hu, Solar Dance (PLACES 2023)

This sunset image was taken at the National Arboretum, Canberra, ACT, Australia, using a 1200mm telephoto lens with a solar baader filter. It is a single shot of the sunspots, and people’s silhouettes. Two families of my friends were standing on the top of the dairy farmers hill lookout waving at me. The sun, my friends, and I were aligned. At the same time, a few sunspots were visible from the sun's surface. It was taken on 10th December 2022.
