Pelicans are perfect for monochrome. So these 3 were making themselves at home on these wooden logs that added great character to the photo. I loved the reflections as well. Being very early in the morning I had to use a high iso which gave deep contrast to the photo and with nothing in the background to distract, it was an ideal scene to capture.
