Brian Ellwood, The boards (PLACES 2023)

The contrasting light and textures of Kinchega Woolshed, near Menindee Lakes in NSW, are captivating. Originally built in 1875, the woolshed saw 6 million sheep cross these boards in its 97 years of operation, and I could see and sense in the timbers the passing of every one.
