Lasitha Liyana Patabendi , The Wild Symbol of the Mist (ANIMALS 2023)

As a child with all the memories of " Robin Hood " when ever I shoot wild life in the mist ,the iconic wild creature comes to my mind is the Sambar Deer. Recent visit to Sri Lanka gave me a great opportunity to visit the world heritage site Horton Plains National park also called as Montane Cloud forrest. This male sambar deer was taken in a very mist morning and isolated horn emerging through the mist and the grass was the perfect frame to symbolise the memory in my mind and I believe mono colors made it more dramatic.
