Melinda Edwards, Tom, the ute and nacho. (PEOPLE 2023)

Melinda is a photographer who is curious and fascinated with the role of her motherhood. With her boys now in late teens and early twenties she captures the transition from school boy to tradesman, passenger to driver, haircuts, cars and girlfriends. Tom, the ute and nacho was taken on a Friday afternoon after Tom got home from work and was showing 6 of his friends his new car (The ute), Nacho (the small car) is the "daily" car he bought with the money from saving his pay from his dream job as an apprentice diesel mechanic. These are the moments to be celebrated for a 17 year old and reflective for his mother
